John, I did NOT go back to YTB nor ZamZuu, I believe there is a lot of HYPE, and the ones that left and came back will leave again.
They all received special deals and significant dollars to come back.
I am happy with what I am doing, I had a lot of fun with YTB, yet the time has come and gone.
Their biggest issue was that they picked a fight with the travel industry? Never made sense to me. You have been a worthy opponent and a thorn in their side for sure.
You have very good sources.
Coach, Scott and Kim all signed a sweetheart deal for their severance and termination. I believe someone will buy YTB and NOT be able to pay for their deal, so ZamZuu will be spun off from YTB and the 3 (Coach, Scott and Kim) will be debt free. They will also have a pure MLM deal and off to the races they go taking everyone's money again.
That is if the SEC is still not after them for the stock fraud. Keep me posted.
Thanks

A Former Director Opines On YTB and ZamZuu
I received this email from a former Director at YTB yesterday. We had been having an email conversation about the four directors who recently returned to the fray for some big bucks--PJ Jensen, Cameron Corr, TV Wilson, and oh hell I am drawing a blank on his name, but he was TV's partner. But this email sort of makes you go hmm...

No Travel Store Sales To The Public
After thinking over the news that YTB will no longer be selling their travel"portal" to the general public, this probably makes a lot of sense for them on several fronts.
They were sued for $25 Million by California for the outlandish and and false claims made to the public who rented their websites. They had to pay a million dollar fine to make that go away.
They are in litigation with the Illinois State Attorney General for violation of CONSUMER laws. There is a class action suit against them referencing the CONSUMER laws.
IF YTB no longer sells to the CONSUMER, this now becomes a B2B transaction and the laws likely would not apply.
Is this a part of an ongoing negotiation with Lisa Madigan, Attorney General of Illinois? Quite possibly. If they agree to change their program (again) will Illinois let them off the hook with a fine? Isn't it funny how the YTB Bill of Rights has failed to protect the income of these people. Isn't it funny how the very Attorneys General who supposedly "approved" their program and "had copied filed in their office" are now suing YTB?
How this plays out in State Court with the Class Action suit remains to be seen. The suit is a rehash of older ones and it might stick in a different court. Time will tell. But while Madigan's interest lies in protecting the consumer, that is not the focus of the plaintiffs in the class action.
Lisa Madigan may be willing to accept a fine, some money to repay harmed consumers, and a promise to not do it again. The consumers will be whole, Illinois will have recovered their costs for litigation, and YTB pays a fine.
But, it also is somewhat of an admission (despite the language that woudl be in a settlement agreement) that there were indeed consumers damaged and would add some fuel to the Class Action fire.

Kim Pulls A Fast One
Remember a few days ago when we were discussing the "new" vendor at YTB and Kim Sorensen was showing off his the new birthday party banners for little Johnny?
Well, it seems that this is not such a "new" vendor to YTB at all. As a matter of fact it is none other than the creator of the Statue Of Liberty, Frank Brummett from Beryl-Martin.
You know Beryl-Martin. It is that company that is owned by Coach and Kim that is used forfiltering money from providing printing services for YTB.
Boy the incest in this company runs deep. Kim, you really should have been upfront about this--it just doesn't look good when I find out about it and let the YTBites know before you!
But here, check it out. Here is the video. And here is the About Us page at Beryl-Martin!
And thanks to Anon Amouse for pointing this out for me!

Travel Changes At YTB
Effective Monday, YTB will no longer be selling the travel program to the general public!
Can I have an Amen?
Apparently, promising everyone that they can travel like an insider was not working for them, so effective Monday, they are limiting their pool of candidates to those who are in ZamZuu.
Details are still being worked out, but Kim says (video) that there will be a FAQ available on Monday. Meanwhile, some of the recruiters are questioning what to do with prospects already in the pipeline? No answer on that.
And in other news, Kim said that YTB had the largest check run of commissions this month than they have had in a year! Well, that is to be expected since the spring break and summer break travel commissions are all due.

Well Here's One Way To Spin It
It seems one of the Brokers is concerned that when she refers someone to her site that the screen asks if they were referred by Missy Broker. The default is checked as "no." Her concern was that if someone went to her site to sign up and did not change the default to "yes" she would lose the credit. Seems like a legitimate concern.
Good Ole Coach tells her it is much better the way it is because if someone mistypes the URL and is off by a letter and there happens to be another Broker with the URL with the "mistype" ......
Well spun Coach, well spun. The real question is what happens when someone does forget to change the default? Who gets credit for the site. Does anyone want to take bets it was part of the payoff to bring PJ, Camaron, TV, and Steve back? It is amazing what a little bit of cash can accomplish.
And speaking of cash, I wonder how things are looking for the K-Mart. There is a $1.6 million dollar past due loan due in a few days!

Travel? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Travel
Yes folks, here you have it, one of the Most Influential Men In Travel has been relegated to doing infomercials for children's birthday party banners.
Yes, come look at one of the newest suppliers that is causing all the excitement int he travel industry. Watch Kim hawk his wares on this video. It is a shame that the kid's name was "William" and it was plastered all over the banners, but Kim kept referring to him as "Johnny."

The Deck Chairs Have Been Rearranged
The latest big news:
The Company’s e-commerce website, available through the Company’s subsidiary, ZamZuu, Inc. (“ ZamZuu ”), which previously sold for a $249.95 set-up fee and a monthly hosting fee of $49.95, will be sold as a license to distribute the sites for free.(Uhm, you don't sell something for free, you give it away, things that are given away typically have no worth) The cost to obtain this license is a $49.95 set-up fee and a monthly fee of $49.95.(Wait a second here, in the last sentence you said it was free. Is this bait and switch?) The individual who purchases this license, called a Broker, will be able to give away a ZamZuu e-commerce business to others for free.(So, is it free or does it cost $49.95 and $49.95 a month?) These free agent shoppers will actually be able to receive 30% of the commissions from purchases made on their free e-commerce sites. The ZamZuu Broker will also receive a matching 30% in shopping commissions.
The Company will launch a new line of nutritional products that customers can buy and receive on a monthly basis. These products focus on providing the daily vitamin requirements for adults and include an “energy boost” supplement.(Ah yes the tried and true, give us your credit card and we will ship crap to you each month and charge you automatically. This is pure MLM! Always a good cash flow aid!)
The Company will roll out a new identity theft recovery product called the Entrust America ID Recovery Plan. In the event of an identity theft, the covered member is assigned a certified recovery specialist who performs all the recovery and restoration work on behalf of the victim. Most other plans in the market today merely offer assistance and expense reimbursement, and the victims are forced to do their own recovery. Last year, as many as 10 million Americans were victims of identity theft according to the Identity Theft Resource Center. By working through local, regional, and national police associations, Entrust America fully recovers the victim’s identity, repairs the damage done, pursues the perpetrator, and takes legal action on the customer’s behalf.(Wow, not only can you be a certified travel agent, but now you can be a certified recovery specialist! I certainly hope that this program does not encourage consumers to give the people who get the free site--or wait, does it cost?--no, it's free, wait...oh hell. I hope that consumers are not giving identity information to the people who are involved in this scheme.)

Convention Update
This was just sent to me from a ZamZuuer in attendance:
I'm sure that you've seen the video that 'Coach' put up on facebook, and I find it amusing that he says he is throwing out 'The First Pitch', when in actuality it was 'A First Pitch'. Every game they have multiple people throw out a first pitch about 30-45 minutes before the game and before the National Anthem. In cases where they actually have someone special at the game that person will throw out 'The First Pitch' after the National Anthem and when the majority of fans are in their seats. As you can see by the video, the stands are still pretty empty (I had actually just arrived). The 'ZamZuu' section was the farthest that you could actually get from home plate, although I'm sure Coach was sitting somewhere else. Then again what can you expect when you buy the cheapest tickets in the ballpark.

More Info On Jensen & Corr
Our inside source has offered that both PJ and Cameron were paid handsomely to return to YTB along with at least one other noteworthy director who departed last year.
In addition to the cash, I am told they were not required to give up their positions in Vollara and the Energy Company, nor woudl any other former directors whom they bring back.
Anyone want to guess at the number being floated around that made PJ and Cameron come back?
All I can say is that this appears to be a very big gamble. Or a very clever move to grab some stock and run it up.

Reports: Jensen & Corr Come Back
With recruiting in a decided slide (as was evidenced by the recent 10-Q, it seems that YTB may have found a way to lure back two of their top recruiters.
We have heard that PJ Jensen and Cameran Corr are now back in the ranks of YTB. Both Jensen and Corr were part of the mass exodus of Directors over the past year. Developing.

YTB/ZamZuu Convention Spoiler
Propaganda, pump and dump, rah rah rah. Boy the innuendo on the recording is great--the phones are ringing so much that Directors need to replace several batteries every day. Listen for yourself here.
What is most notable is that Scott Tomer is using the same line that did not work with YTB. "If they are going to buy the stuff anyway, why wouldn't they buy it from you?" Scott, here is a newsflash--it did not work for YTB in travel because people inherently are skeptical of MLM, there are many other outlets to buy the same product at less cost. Haven't the last seven years taught you anything? This will be fun to watch play out. Prediction: YTB/ZamZuu will not even be able to grow by giving their stuff away. Mark Henderson says that "they can't say no to that"--Mark, I bet they can.

Is The Dump Complete?
Well, yesterday before the release of the financials, YTB had quite a run. Gee, wonder how that happened? Wink Wink!
But it looks like today, the dump is almost complete with over 3 million shares traded. One has to wonder who holds that much stock who is not an insider (because that woudl be illegal)--oh wait, that's right Coach, Scott and Kim all terminated their employment agreements and Coach is no longer on the Board or anything! Hmm.
But, the run up to 20 cents yesterday seems to be at a dime again today and I suspect that as the good news of the 10Q spreads, that Monday will see it settle back down to the nickel or under range!
Well done Wood River! Well Done!

The Bleeding Continues
NOTE: Corrected graphic and number in commentary
Well during the first part of the year, they were able to find 3400 people to replace the 8100 who quit. This time around, they could only find254 3251 to buy into the scheme yet 6600 quit. For the quarter, YTB is losing 73 each calendar day.
Considering that their primary source of income is from the people who are paying these fees, this is a bad trend.

Condensed Consolidated Balance Sheets
YTB Loses Some More
After trading over 2 million shares (all so predictable) the 10-Q was released after trading and shows a nearly $500,000 loss for the 2nd quarter. So for a half year, with the savior ZamZuu operating during all of those months, YTB managed to lose $903,000. Well at least they seem consistent.
We will check over this report in the next day or so to analyze it. I am sure that they have figured a new way to calculate RTA/Rep..or whatever they are called now so that any comparison to the past will not be possible. But the notes are always interesting.

YTB Convention (SPOLIER ALERT)
This may also explain the sudden increase in stock activity. We all know that YTB needs to get a hold of a lot of money to save the K-Mart which will foreclose at the end of this month. Maybe a pep rally might cause a stock rally.
YTB is changing the names again--RTA, CRTA, TBO, BO, Rep, or whatever name they used in the past is now done and the big announcement will be that they are calling them "brokers". They are revamping the compensation plan--the same one that was guaranteed to never change and on file with every state.
Here is a synopsis I received from a source about the new program set to be released at the convention. This was from Scott Tomer recently at a meeting of Directors.

They are revamping the compensation plan--the same one that was guaranteed to never change and on file with every state.
Here is a synopsis I received from a source about the new program set to be released at the convention. This was from Scott Tomer recently at a meeting of Directors.
At the 10:30 meeting, Scott talked about legal team and him meeting on Friday and discussing for some extended period of time the legal terminology for the new changes Coach and Scott are implementing effective the day after the convention.
Scott said, he is confident all the legal issues will be worked out before the changes go into effect.
The way they are going to sell the broker licenses or whatever they decide to call them when it goes into effect is going to raise eyebrows.
I think by design at this point they want us to be unclear what they are going to do. I think he just wanted to leak some of the changes to be announced at the convention to get the chatter going ahead of time. After convention, they are doing away with the ZamZuu opportunity at $249.95 and joining at the 60% of the commissions. Everyone already in will get to still get to earn 60% of the commissions. They are not going to take that away from us. Also after the convention new people starting a business will be paid 30% of the commissions and will not have to pay anything to start up, not even the $49.95 per month hosting fee.
New people will be able to purchase the broker license from a broker at $49.95 per month and then they will become a broker and they will be able to sign up a new person/people for free. So what I am saying is people won't be able to be a broker, a person who sells the broker license, until they are paying $49.95 per month, but you can start a business for free and earn 30% of the commissions on everything sold on your eCommerce retail sales portal.
Scott also said that anyone who is not active before the convention will not ever be allowed to earn at the 60% of the commissions level if they decide to reactivate their business after the convention. The only people who will earn 60% of the commissions are the people who are actively paying $49.95 prior to the convention.
He said that the hook is in recruiting people and they have no term limit contracts when they sign up; although if they stop paying $49.95 a month, they won't get paid the 30% of the matching commissions earned from from products sold on personally sponsored websites. In order to get the 30% of the commissions match from the people you sponsor, you have to keep paying $49.95 a month.
The 3 areas the lawyers are still looking at legal issues before this goes into effect are:
-- Franchise Laws
-- Direct Sales Laws
-- SEC Laws
There are some minor problems with terminology and best lawyers could say is it's probably going to be OK to go with it.
WTF?
Not sure what is going on, but there is likely some sort of news ready to hit that causes over a million shares to be traded the day before financials are to be released and a week before the convention. The price went from 4 cents to 24 cents. Any bets?
Dear YTBLA, I Am Leaving You
Dear YTBLA--
I am sorry to do this on the one year anniversary of the last time you traded above a dime, but I have simply had enough.
What happened? I mean it was only a few years ago that you were worth almost ten dollars. When you started to slip, you told me to not worry and to invest more because you were a $30 man. But you kept falling. I tried to tell you. To warn you. But you did not listen. You just continued on your renegade scamming ways like a crack junkie who refuses to go to rehab.
I believed in you YTBLA. I took $1000 of my hard earned money and bought into your promises of a bright future for us back when you were trading at $1.50, now that thousand dollars is not even enough for an Applebee's dinner for my family--even with the ZamZuu coupon.
YTBLA, I can't take it any more. I am tired of seeing you trying to create some artificial interest with your regular and predictable pumps. It used to be a pump and dump, but any more, your pumping is more like a man with ED and a pocketful of recalled Viagra. You try and you try, but you just cant seem to get it up.
I can't live like this. I have needs--like food and shelter. And despite all of your promises, you simply cannot offer that to me.
YTBLA, we are done.
Love--
A former shareholder

I can't live like this. I have needs--like food and shelter. And despite all of your promises, you simply cannot offer that to me.
YTBLA, we are done.
Love--
A former shareholder

This Will Be Interesting
Well, when you have a question that is THIS important, why not put it on the facebook page of one of the most influential people in travel?
I wonder what the answer will be!
I wonder what the answer will be!
Same Old Tricks
Recruit, recruit, recruit. And if we get caught, we will simply ignore! This email came to me this morning from a former YTB RTA who has moved on. Apparently she is still connected with some in ZamZuu and when she updated her new email address, someone decided to use it to enroll her in the great opportunity without her knowledge or permission. Of course the email address to report such abuses is non-functioning.
Hey John,
I am in a health and wellness business and just opened a new acct on my gmail. Today as I opened my email I had an email from Zamzuu welcoming me. I have no interest, have not talked to anyone, about Zamzuu period. Someone signed me up without my permission or knowledge, and used my new health/wellness address.
I tried to log on, but for some reason it's not accepting my log in info. I clicked on Forgot Password and used the username I was assigned and it would not let me on.
So I went to the main site and clicked on Privacy Policy and found the email abuse@zamzuu.com...I sent the email and it was returned Who do I need to get in touch with to get this thing cancelled>>> I still can't believe someone had the audacity to do this.

More Of The Same
Doesn't this rhetoric sound awfully familiar. Last year it was "we showed California so now we need everyone to recruit everyone back." Now it is "we are changing the copyrighted guaranteed never to change compensation plan so yo need to recruit everyone back." Yes, same crap, different year. I have not listened to Scott's audio on this yet, but am posting it all here for your information:
We're Making History Again!

This Just In
We have heard several reports that YTB was just ordered to pay a $1 million dollar fine. We are not sure what this is in reference to--it could be the ongoing litigation between YTB and their former Directors, the Class Action suit, or possibly a negotiated settlement with Illinois.
We are trying to confirm. We have also heard that many are very scared now about future commissions and are placing their business elsewhere.

Flexible Independent Traveler
And to think after all these years, I always thought that FIT meant "Foreign Independent Travel;" when all along, according to one of the most influential men in travel, it means "Flexible Independent Traveler." Who would have known? And according to Kim Sorensen, no one has ever known what it stood for.. Certainly not his sidekick who run the travel department at YTB. Check out the video here about the 1:30 mark.
But in all seriousness, how can a Travel Weekly Power List "Agency" feel that selling $10,000 in two weeks is stellar and that FIT (regardless of the acronym) is making individual, not group, bookings.
Newsflash YTB: FIT is not packaged or cruise bookings. FIT is when an agent puts together an entire experience--airlines, hotels, multiple destinations, sightseeing tours, transfers, inter-country transit, etc. I guess they didn't cover that in your First Class Training!

Good Luck With That
OK, for a moment, let's forget that the distance from NW Montana and St. Louis is 1,700 miles and will take almost 30 hours of driving time.
In 2007, when YTB was flush with RTAs there were only 91 of them in Montana. YTB rarely draws more than 5% of their people to the conventions so back then (when there were 131,000 RTAs), there may have been 5 people that might go from Montana. Now that the 131,000 RTAs has been diminished to under 30,000, if you do the math, that leaves one person from Montana headed to the meeting.
But wait Deanna--because you are in YTB, you are a travel agent, you ought to be able to travel for free. Isn't that what you were told? Or at least like an insider--whatever that may mean. Certainly you can flash your RTA Identification Card and be whisked into the first class cabin of any plane. After all you are a travel agent.

YTB Claims 5000 To Attend Convention
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, YTB says they are expecting 5000 to attend their conference this year. In 2009, it was 8000, in 2008, it was 12,000, and in 2007, I believe it was 18,000. Anyone spotting a trend here?
ANd in years past, YTB also included the children of attendees and employees as part of the "attendance" figure. Realistic guess for this year...2,500 to 3,000 card carrying YTB ZuuKeepers!
But wait, the quarterly financials are due out any day now. And there has been a lot of volume on the 4 cent stock. Usually an indicator of bad news to come!

Let's Revisit
Last year, this blog broke the news that YTB superstar PJ Jensen was leaving the company. Of course, since this site is nothing more than a vehicle to "stir up attention", the claims were immediately refuted.
While making our rounds of the YTBU classes today I not only caught a glimpse of PJ, but we had a nice chat over the rumors that were circulating. Surprisingly, Peter didn’t know anything about the rumor until he had gotten off the plane to find 18 voice mails and 62 e-mails about this very subject.I wonder if PJ will be roaming the halls of YTBU this year? Seems like this blog may indeed stir up some things, but for the most part it is right on. The eviction, the exodus, the changes in policy, etc.
Needless to say, he confirmed with me, and the Founders of the company that he’s not resigning from YTB.
